Babu has mastered diverse genres including romance, war, suspense, and comedy. After debuting with the children's film NAGARAHOLE (1977), his career skyrocketed with the cult thriller ANTHA (1981). Over four decades, he delivered timeless classics like BANDHANA (1984), HOOVU HANNU (1993), and the popular comedy-drama KURIGALU SAAR KURIGALU (2001). Known for his technical brilliance, Babu has won three National Awards and remains a pivotal figure in shaping Indian cinema's narrative landscape.
