A tragic mistake shatters the life of a devoted father, shaking his marriage and isolating him in guilt. As the threat of prison looms, he begins to question whether he deserves to go on living. But when he and his wife come to see that the tragedy was not a personal failure, but something rooted deep in the architecture of the human mind, a fragile path toward forgiveness begins to emerge. Even with this understanding, the question remains: can love survive what no heart was built to endure?
ಒಂದು ದುರಂತಮಯವಾದ ತಪ್ಪು ಒಬ್ಬ ನಿಷ್ಠಾವಂತ ತಂದೆಯ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಕದಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವನ ಮದುವೆಯ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಬಿರುಕು ಬೀಳುತ್ತದೆ, ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಭಾವನೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಭೀತಿ ಹತ್ತಿರವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಬದುಕಲು ತಾನು ಅರ್ಹನೇ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಡತೊಡಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ದುರಂತವನ್ನು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ವೈಫಲ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಮಾನವ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಆಳವಾದ ರಚನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಬೇರುಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಯೆಂದು ಅವನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ, ಕ್ಷಮೆಯತ್ತ ಸಾಗುವ ನಾಜೂಕಾದ ದಾರಿಯೊಂದು ತೆರೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೂ,ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅರಿವಿನ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಳಿದುಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ: ಯಾವುದೇ ಹೃದಯವು ಸಹಿಸಲಾರದಷ್ಟು ನೋವನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯು ಗೆದ್ದು ಉಳಿಯಬಲ್ಲದೇ?

Tereza Nvotová graduated in film direction from FAMU in Prague. Her feature debut FILTHY screened at major IFFs including Rotterdam, Karlovy Vary, Cairo, and Santa Barbara, winning over 20 awards and becoming one of the most successful Czech and Slovak films of the year 2017. She has collaborated with HBO Europe, which co-produced FILTHY and two of her documentaries. Her HBO documentary THE LUST FOR POWER was shortlisted for the European Film Academy Awards in 2019. Her second feature NIGHT SIREN (SVETLONOC, 2022) premiered at the 75th Locarno FF (Cineasti del presente), where it won the Pardo d’Oro for Best Film.
