Gangya honestly reads an essay exposing his school’s broken classrooms and neglect, angering his teacher, who beats him and demands a rewritten version. Hoping his parents’ plan to migrate will change his life, Gangya skips school—but they leave silently without him. Abandoned, he returns to class and reads a safe, obedient essay, suppressing the truth. The teacher is pleased, and the system prevails.
ಗಂಗ್ಯನು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಓದುವಾಗ, ಮುರಿದ ತರಗತಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು, ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಮರುಬರೆಯಲು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ತಂದೆ-ತಾಯಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಗಂಗ್ಯ ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಮರುಬರೆಯದೇ ಇರುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಶಾಲೆಗೂ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ಊರನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಒಂಟಿಯಾದ ಗಂಗ್ಯ ಮತ್ತೆ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಬಂದು, ತನ್ನ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮರೆಸಿ ವಿಧೇಯ ಪ್ರಬಂಧವನ್ನು ಓದುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುತ್ತಾನೆ, ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಗೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ.

Aneelkumar is a Banglore Based Kannada Film and theatre director with a B.A and a Diploma in Theatre, he has directed nemerous plays across karnataka and seved as an Associate Director for films like THE RYTHEM OF DAMMAM and GODRA. He Edited BURLI, ABSURD DREAM and recently directed the feture film NAM SAALI. Currenrly he is the Managing Director of Jangama Studio and founding member of the jangama Collective.
