ಬದುಕನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಹೆಣಗಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಟಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ತನ್ನ ಹುಟ್ಟೂರಾದ ಸಿಚುವಾನ್‌ಗೆ ಮರಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ತನ್ನದೇ ಊರಿನ ಆಡುನುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಗೊಂದಲದ ಮಧ್ಯೆ, ಅವಳು ಹೊಸ ಬದುಕಿನ ಹುಡುಕಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

Zhang Lu (b. 1962), is born in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, China. With his origin as an ethnic Korean in China, his works transcend nationality and borders. He made his directorial debut with ELEVEN (2001), which was selected for the Short Film Competition at the Venice FF. GRAIN IN EAR (2005) was premiered at Critics' Week at the Cannes FF and won the ACID Award and New Currents Award at the Busan IFF. His other works include DESERT DREAM (2007), GYEONGJU (2014) and THE SHADOWLESS TOWER (2023).
