1982. As an unknown disease begins to spread in a small mining town in the Chilean desert, gay men are accused of transmitting it through their eyes. Twelve-year-old Lidia, the only girl in the community, sets out in search of the truth.
1982ರಲ್ಲಿ, ಚಿಲಿಯ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಗೂಢ ಖಾಯಿಲೆಯೊಂದು ಹರಡತೊಡಗಿ ಭಯ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಲಿಂಗಪ್ರೇಮಿ ಗೇ ಪುರುಷರು ಕಣ್ಣಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ರೋಗ ಹರಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ತಪ್ಪು ಆರೋಪಗಳು ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಡುವೆ, ಆ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಏಕೈಕ ಹುಡುಗಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಲಿಡಿಯಾ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ಹೊರಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.

Diego Céspedes (b. 1995) is a Chilean filmmaker who studied film and television at the University of Chile. His background includes work as a DoP and montage editor, experiences that shaped his sensitivity to image and rhythm. His filmography began with the short film THE SUMMER OF THE ELECTRIC LION (2018), which received major international recognition at Cannes, San Sebastián, Sundance, and Palm Springs. His work is marked by emotional intensity and a bold, lyrical visual style. THE MYSTERIOUS GAZE OF THE FLAMINGO is his debut feature.
