Akinola Davies Jr is a British Nigerian filmmaker whose background spans film, fashion, and visual art. He trained through practical industry work and developed a distinctive voice exploring community, race, spirituality, identity and gender. His filmography includes the narrative short LIZARD (2020), which premiered at the Sundance FF and later screened at the BFI London FF, earning major international recognition. His work is defined by an intimate visual style that bridges generations and communities.
